This policy explains what FairwaySync collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we keep what the app needs to work and nothing for advertising.
FairwaySync is operated by Shoot The Moon Tuscarora, Corp., which is responsible for the data described below. "We" and "us" mean that company.
What we collect
- A device identifier — a random id stored on your phone, so you don't have to type your name twice all weekend and so the app knows which events and leagues you're in.
- Account details, if you create an account — a username, a password (stored only as a salted hash), and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the stable identifier and email address they provide. Apple lets you hide your email; the relay address works the same.
- What you post — display names, scores, group titles, live video (streamed, not recorded by us) and highlight clips you record and post.
- Notifications — if you turn them on, a push subscription or device token so we can send you standings and messages from your hosts.
- Purchases — if you buy a plan, the store or our payment provider tells us what you bought and until when. We never see card numbers.
- Reports and tickets you send us, with the device id and username attached so we can reply.
How we use it
To run your events and leagues, show live video to the people in them, keep standings, send the notifications you asked for, and unlock the plan you paid for. We don't sell data and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- People in your event or league see your display name, scores, streams and clips.
- Service providers that make the app work: our hosting provider, a real-time video service that carries live streams, Google and Apple for sign-in, and Apple, Google and RevenueCat for purchases. Each gets only what it needs for its job.
How long we keep it
Events, leagues and clips stay until the host or the operator deletes them. Deleting your account removes the account, its sign-ins and plan straight away. Highlight clips are removed when their event is deleted or when a report is upheld.
Your choices
- Use the app without an account.
- Turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
- Delete your account from the account page — how to delete your account sets out the steps and exactly what goes and what stays.
- Ask the operator to remove content about you.
- Save a results card to your own photos. It's made on your phone and stays there — saving it doesn't send us anything, and we can't see your photos.
Children
FairwaySync is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
